Question: http://www.wholesalecheapbeanies.com/ I was looking for low priced beanies when I came across this website. I'm very skeptical of it because i know higher brand beanies like diamond supply and pink dolphin usually go for like $35 and up. Does it look like theses beanies might actually be real?

No. The website name is a throwaway address, meaning that when enough people catch on that it's a scam, they can just move on to a new address, ditch the old one, and pretend they never operated under that name

Yeah, you just got a bunch of answers and these answers will lead to more questions! I'm going to fill you in a bit of marketing, but you have to do it in this order for it to work! I come from a family business and our business didn't boom until we went web! 1. Invest in a website (A Web Site that allows you to buy off of it)! 2. Ask yourself Who you picture your products being sold to and/or Who you see your products being used by! Once you find that out then... 2. Take pictures (Real Nice Ones) of the product that you are selling to make a on-line catalog on your site! Make sure the pictures you make are targeting the people you want (Example: Lets say you make kids pillows, Include a picture of a kid sleeping on your pillow at bedtime and his or her Mom and Dad looking into the kids room watching the kid sleeping) By including this picture in your catalog your telling people This product is a family and safe product for you and your kid! If it's for animals, lets say a Dog, include a Dog on the pillow! And so on...you get it! 3. Once you make the site, even if your catalog only had 5 items.....look into making ads! If your trying to make the business BIG, this is the way to go. You can buy ads for as little as $50 to $100 just by designing a Quick ad that promotes a picture of your product and make sure you include your website! Look into local news papers if you want to focus on local or Magazines if you want to focus on nation wide! In order to sell your product, you must fisrt create awareness to generate demand for the product! Example, say I hate my pillow and have been lagging on going and buying on at the store. Lets say one day I'm just flipping thru the news paper and see your ad, I'm going to think, "Hey...that reminds me, I need to buy one...oh wow....This pillow looks big and might look nice in my room...Hey that picture kinda looks like me!" So you have just made me want your product and you have just generated demand for your product! At this point you have to be careful because this is when most businesses learn the meaning of "Supply & Demand". This means...You must be able to supply ...the demand! Some people run into this problem because they have too much demand and not too much supplies to supply the demand! Please don't run into this if you can't handle it, you may run into legal problems! Or look into selling a few of your products to local stores. Invest in your talent and start with consignment! This means you leave the product with your client (The Store) and come back at another time to pick up the money! Set up your terms (3 weeks, 1 Month or 2 months) and make sure to fill out a receipt Set your wholesale price based on what you feel your product is worth and keep in mind the supplies your spent, your time and any ad promotion you have invested in your product! Example: Lets say I make pillows and I spent about 5 bucks just to make it. I want to keep in mind the $50 I spent on Flyer's to promote my pillow business and the $100 news paper ad I spent for this sundays news paper run. I might want to price my product at $10 wholesale and set my retail price at $15 per item. The store will make $5 each time they sell one of them and they didn't have to pay one dime to have the product in stock. I might leave them 20 pillows and include the business location on my next flyer to create awareness of my product and where it can be bought! This will generate demand for this location because the business owner is going to wonder, "Why should I help sell and carry your pillows?" Then you can say, "Because I'm not just selling you hand made custom pillows, but I'm also helping promote your business here on this Flyer and all of these flyers have your business location on it" Try it for a while and I bet you'll see some good outcome!
