How recent is "recent"? Don't call them until at least a week after you applied, otherwise you'll seem like an unrealistic pest. When you do call, just say that you applied on such-and-such a date and you would like to know the status of your application, because you really would enjoy working at Target.

as quickly as I submit my application I often wait a pair of day to get carry of an digital mail from the employer letting me understand that they've won my application. Then as quickly as i hit upon out the status of my application I then call the administrative a minimum of thrice each week to enable him/her understand that i'm very a lot fascinated interior the situation and that i'm extreme approximately working for them.

Applying to jobs online is a challenging way to find a job! Here's what the candidates who get called for an interview typically have in common: 1. No typos, anywhere in the material they submit. 2. All the right qualifications (sometimes including ones that may not be mentioned in the job posting). 3. They aren't overqualified. 4. When an application includes screening questions, the answers are gramatically perfect, the spelling is perfect and they are good answers. (Smart employers pay more attention to this than resumes or cover letters.) Here's a suggestion, Job boards are a great way to figure out who is hiring, but it's always much more effective to get a foot in the door using networking and personal referrals. Ideally, for example, finding a respected employee who's willing to vouch for you (many companies have an "employee referral program.") Good luck!

Next time you apply somewhere online wait a few days then call in and ask to speak with the hiring manager and ask him or her for the status of your application. It shows you have interest in the job. Good Luck!
