Question: Has anyone had any luck with beneficial nematodes killing off fleas and garden pests? I was looking for ways to treat my yard against fleas, and this was listed as a natural option that is supposed to kill off other pests too. Sounds too good to be true? Anyone try it?

Not with fleas per-say but many pests are abated with nematodes. They are mainly used for grubs and the other types of insects that have the life cycle of beetles. Yet the way the nematodes infect their host's digestive system they are said to be greatly effective against fleas. The research for the use of nematodes against fleas is relatively new as compared to it's use against other insects. The most important thing you must know is how to chose the correct species of nematode to combat whatever insect you want to abate. My advise to you would be that the nematodes are very inexpensive and it could not hurt to try them. You will need to do some research as to which species to buy and at what time of year they recommend the application. Here are some links to help. Good luck to you getting rid of those little blood suckers. Pest control is usually the landlord's responsibility, unless your lease specifically states otherwise. However, if you are severely allergic, then your priority should be getting rid of them; not who is responsible. Put your request in writing and give her X amount of days to hire an exterminator. If she won't, then you take her to court. I would advise you re-check your lease and state laws, though.

The owner or landlord is the one responsible for pest control. Have you given her this complaint in writing? You would need to do this so you have documentation. If she still acts like she doesn't have to take care of things, you can legally break your lease. You probably could also pay for an exterminator and then withhold the rent, but you may have to go to court for that first. What needs to happen is the nest(s) to be completely removed. That is why they are not leaving. These other answers are wrong.

Landlords ARE typically responsible for pest control. This can vary from area to area however. I would suggest you check with a property manager in your area & see if they typically pay for pest control. If they do, see if they can provide anything stating they are supposed to.

nicely different than for those concepts, there are the commonplace print & media classified ads you're able to do- one factor that i've got been uncovered to no longer as often, even with the fact this is clever in terms of achieving the persons who're extreme clientele is to be a seller at an adventure. on the grounds which you sell a provider, this is not any longer basic to tell apart your self interior the print classified ads (eg yellowpages advert, newspaper advert, radio advert, television advert.) with the aid of fact they're ignored. even with the undeniable fact that in case you positioned up a booth at a highway truthful, farmer's marketplace or flea marketplace variety venue. They sell spots particularly inexpensive, plus you attain an excellent aim audience looking around for dissimilar products/centers. in case you do no longer set up an appointment that day, this is okay on the grounds which you have a minimum of knowledgeable the purchasers which you're available in enterprise & supply a provider that incredibly everyone ultimately needs. i've got signed up for my cable television this way, plus I sell autos & we set up some autos at those venues & this is had a favorable reaction. Plus there is little opposition between what else is going on with the aid of fact your product isn't comparable to those who're attempting to sell their artwork or fruit.
