Question: Hi! I am 15 and I am almost dating a 16 year old chinese boy. He came to canada a couple months ago (at the beginning of the school year). His english is really good for the short amount of time he has been here, but because of the language barrier I am in a situation where I don't know if he asked my friend out or not. So this is whats happened so far; he left a paper origami heart on my locker at school with his name on it. we text allot, at first he started the texting but now I find I am. We don't talk in person very often because we only have one class together. We just mainly say hi and bye in the halls. He smokes and I'm against smoking (I've never said it though). We went to a movie with 3 of his friends and 1 of mine, we sat together (the movie was ghost rider 2, not romantic or a good movie to see with them), and after he hugged me at the bus stop. the next day he asked if i wanted to go out but i was cleaning the house so i couldn't, so my friend and i where going to meet him at the mall today, but he had 3 friends we didn't know so we just said hi and then we bumped into him later and said bye. At some point between friday and tuesday he asked my friend "want going out", which we don't know if he meant hang out or date. So I am sad about that because I really like him. I have been the one to suggest the movie and mall outings, so I don't know if he is still interested in me.Please help me with seeing if he still likes me or not! Also, could you brief me on chinese dating etiquette? Like I want him to be the man and suggest and chose stuff (obviously I'd have a say, but just I have been doing everything so far, except he did hug me on friday), but what is the norm for chinese dating? Also, if all goes well, and we are dating happily by the end of the school year, he is going back to china for the summer, then coming back to canada for the school year, would it be weird if I got us couple rings, to sort of keep us together, even across oceans? Which finger would you wear it on, pinky finger? And could you send a link to a picture of what an appropriate 15-16 year olds' couple rings would look like? or couple necklaces? Thank you for your help! <3 wish me luck! Here are two sets of couple rings I really like, do you think they would be good?(I will wait a long time before getting them though) http://www.ebay.com/itm/His-Hers-Black-Titanium-Rings-Lines-Size-5-14-FREE-S-H-Engraving-Avail-/390397647844?_trksid=p4340.m444&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DSI%252BUA%252BLM%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6986186473744416602&autorefresh=true http://www.ebay.com/itm/His-Hers-Match-Titanium-Ring-Anniversary-Set-Couple-Wedding-Band-Mens-Jewelry-/120865454819?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c24247ae3

Hmm , perhaps ask him if he likes your friend and maybe show and interest in his culture like ask him is dating the same as canada , or you can google it ? take an interest in chinese food ? maybe he doesn't want to keep his chinese tradition , instead maybe he wants to take on the canadian way ? You never know if you don't ask him , maybe sent a hint that you like him . I'm asian ,, not chinese , but filopino and I know they are quite consertive , but maybe he is different , I never kept to my filopino tradtion. I hope it all works out for you , I'd give him the ring , but not right away in the relationship .

He is a player and I think he will tell you whatever he thinks will get you into his bed. He already has three women he's having sex with and wants to "try you out" before making a "commitment"? R U N ! Not good enough, if you ask me. You are right. He should be willing to TRY the faithful line with you before asking you to give your body to him, knowing that you do take sex seriously, and not lightly like he does.

Oh my gaaaaawsh. This guy is a serious slut. But be glad he is an honest slut. You could have wasted so much more time with him. Heck you could have actually slept with him and caught who-knows-what. I think casually dating a few women at once is fine. As long as he's not leading any of them to believe that they are exclusive. Casually screwing around with a few women is another story. I think it's great that you got to know him first and found out that he's not your type. And I also think that if he gets so frustrated waiting until a woman is ready to have sex that he has to go and have sex with someone else, then he should be able to figure out on his own that all he is looking for is sex and that he needs to quit leading women on. Like I say, just be glad he was being honest and that you can get away from the jackass. And just because some guys are like this doesn't make it right to do it.

From a guys perspective I always go back to this one situation I was in. I was into this one girl. Really into her. After bumping into each other a bunch of times over a month or so I grew a pair and asked her out. We went out but she wouldn't sleep with me. I'm not sure if she was making me wait or what her intentions were. At the same time when I met her I was going out a lot and had a lot of options. I put them on hold for a while, but after a month or so and several dates with this girl I was pretty frustrated. I was drunk and hooked up with some other chick one night after it just kind of felt like things had stalled with this girl mostly out of frustration. Well we had mutual friends at this point cause we hung out so much and it was going to get back to her so I just told her about it rather than her find out another way. Saying she wasn't happy with me would be an understatement. It more or less ended things even though I'm still not even sure we were going anywhere anyways. It seemed like things were kind of stalled to me. My point with that long example. Is you need to make up your mind as to whether you trust this guy or not. If you don't feel like you do now after several dates I'm not sure how many more dates it's going to take you to get there. Time is a good way to weed out people just looking to get laid but it won't weed out everybody and if you get too crazy with it you might weed out guys who never had bad intentions. If this guy has other options and he doesn't know if this is ever going to turn physical it's only a matter of time until he moves on. My time limit was about 2 months of dating. I don't know what this guy's limit is but I'd imagine most guys have one whether they know it or not.
