Question: As the young maiden walked out the door, many crowds of handsome men stopped to stare at the beautiful girl. Her astonishing smile could melt a greedy man's heart. She was a trustful looking girl. Her face was angelic. Fair-skinned, the lines of youth were drawn out to length. The hair of this historic child was like spools of gold and silver. This is the original language. I have tried different google searching techniques. I am just trying to find the origin of the quote........... Thanks for answering Princess Mikey Thanks for answering Princess Mikey

Do you have a context? The wording is a bit odd, as if it were being translated into English by someone who isn't a fluent English speaker or else isn't good with the original language and is simply translating word for word. "The lines of youth were drawn out to length" makes no sense. A Google search only brings up your question. Or perhaps someone fed the lines into a translation text; in that case, it needs to be searched in the original language to bring up the book. Rita T., it does sound like the Star but I used amazon's "Search Inside" on both the novel and the graphic novel and the phrase "historic child" doesn't show up. (I just looked for one of the unusual phrases that probably wouldn't show up in many books.) That was a brilliant suggestion though. Unless. . . maybe it was part of the movie script and not part of the book? It doesn't show up under quotes at www.imdb.com but that doesn't mean it wasn't part of the movie.

It's all about choice. If someone has too options, in this case a strong smooth metal bar and a weak splintery wood one, and someone chooses the wrong option, the weak splintery wood bar, they get splinters. They could have chosen the strong smooth metal bar, but they didn't. It's a great quote.

It sort is simalar to the "if you lay down with the dogs you will get fleas" which is hang out with bad people, your bad. but yours is more like a person had to choose between you(a good friend) or some one else(a bad friend) and they choose the bad friend, probably because the bad friend was popular and the friend wanted that increased, but since they chose the bad friend, they got in trouble,or there feelings hurt. and if people instult your poem/quote saying omg wtc does that mean?just tell them and they will probably go "ohh thats cool!" (not sarcasm) thats what my friends normaly do i use to share my poems and quotes but i don't anymore its more of a private thing i keep to myself now,but thats a pretty good one kudos for you lol. and yeah i belive you:) lol and its break for me to! to day was the last day ! i'm staying up all night! ~WOOT WOOT~ lol:) hope i helped.

I would say it means... That he could have gone with the safe option but he chose to go with the tough one and risked it but unfortunatly he ended up getting hurt. However i have another thought It could mean... He could have chosen this girl (known as ''you'') because she loved him and she would care for him... but he decided to go with the other girl maybe because she was the popular girl or something and then she upset him and he got hurt.
