Become a GOW Contact

New technology is great. But sometimes nothing beats a good old fashioned face-to-face. We need a contact within each close for Gibson Street, Otago Street and Westbank Quadrant.
This is in order to support good relations between new and existing residents and to help new residents to settle in. We’re going to develop a welcome pack for those who join our community, which will have useful information, do’s and dont’s and the lowdown on where they now live.

What’s a GOW Contact got to do with this?

GOW Contacts will let us know when they have new residents in their close and either deliver the packs themselves, or let us know which flats to deliver to.

There may be particular issues within your close that GOW may not be familiar with so as a Contact you’ll be best placed to let us know of anything new residents should be aware of, or we should be aware of on behalf of all of you.

I’d like to be a Contact, but is it a lot of work ?

It’s really not. All we ask is that you tell us which flat’s have changed hands.
An email or a phonecall can be accomplished in a couple of minutes or less. It’s up to you whether or not you deliver the packs yourself.

However, if you want to take the role further and act as someone within the close that your neighbours come to with questions or problems, you can then pass these on to us or pass on your own knowledge.

Why not get to know your neighbours ?

IF you’d like to nominate yourself, please contact us at gowcommunity@gmail.com, or call Eric Kay on 0141 339 6609.
