Well where to start ?  I must confess that most of your letter is a mystery to me. No fear, I’m used to dealing with people who’s second language is English – I lived in Dundee for a year in 1942. I think firstly you should enquire as to his marital status, as if he’s already wed, then he certainly can’t ‘add’ you. That’s illegal in our country, dear.

In terms of ‘net-etiquette’, as you so charmingly put it, you should take them down and clean them every month. If your curtains are dirty, your neighbours will talk.
