We had a great day with Jan Fitzpatrick, who came again to lead a wonderful mosaic workshop. For all those who could only come along at the weekend, apologies. Jan’s expert services are in great demand and we could only book her for a Friday this month. Next time it would be a better weekend event, but we had a great turn out on the weekday nonetheless.

The goal of this event was to create some mosaics for the backcourt. To bring some colour in the winter months, when the trees are bare and we lose all of the lush bin planters and hanging baskets. That and meeting some new folk and hoping to have a good goss… but after being presented with some tiles and tools, we became a teacher’s dream ! It was engrossing.

Jan’s beautiful assistant Brian showed us how it should be done. Tasked with the biggest piece to completed, he created a robust and wistful ceramic sun. (See top image)
