At HMO court hearing licenses were refused for two premises within GOW. This is very unusual and in one case reflects the concerns and efforts of residents who objected and attended the hearing.

Check of refuse bins indicates that a considerable amount of recyclable materials been put into the bins which will end up in landfill. The materials comprise beer cans, glass and plastic bottles and some newspapers and would significantly reduce the volume of rubbish.

Meeting held by GOW in left bank with traders from Gibson Street and budget holder for Council’s LES (Land and Environmental Services). This was to initiate work to improve Gibson Street once the major developments are complete and to organise action on repairs.
