Clean Sweep
A good amount of volunteers turned up to help keep the backcourt spick and span and all were delighted that the clean up wasn’t on the rainy Saturday we had this week. Sunday was a beautiful day.
Craig and Eric made an early start on the basement underneath No 5 Westbank Quadrant and had filled a good portion of the skip before everyone else got started at 2pm. We cleared leaves and any debris, trimmed the foliage around the bin sheds, removed glass and rubbish from the dunnies and did some weeding and turning over of the vegetable patch. Residents at 99 Gibson Street should be aware that a used syringe was found in the back entrance to their close and safely disposed of. Back close doors should be kept closed for all our security and to discourage any opportunistic anti-social behaviour of this kind.
By the end of the clear up, the skip was entirely full. Thanks to everyone who took time out of their weekend to help.
