Cold snap or not, following the inclement, wild weather, sunny blue skies came as a welcome change today.
The high winds and hail have hastened the autumnal leaf fall and clogged many a Glaswegian drain. By Friday, the bottom of University Avenue was flooded on both sides, forcing pedestrians to make well judged sprints to avoid being soaked by drivers taking the bends a little too quickly.
The colours in Kelvingrove park are particularly beautiful this year with the oaks, maples and firs responding to the recent weather conditions.
