For December 6th 2008 the Scottish Climate Change Campaign is planning a climate march in Glasgow. The purpose of the march is to call for just solutions to climate change NOW in Holyrood, Westminster and at the UN talks. The march will start from Ampitheatre, Clyde Street at 12.30pm with a local up and coming rock band, Auto Safari getting things off to a rousing start. The march will go through the city centre to Glasgow Caledonian University.
This will be followed by an afternoon of music, speakers, films and fun. Speakers from 2pm will include Billy Boyd, founder member of Earth First, Scotland. People attending the march are encouraged to take placards stating what they would do to help combat climate change.
