A student protest took place today on the steps of the Sir Charles Wilson Lecture Theatre.

Protesters were in full voice despite the periodic rain. Last Thurday, a mass of students marched from the Main gate, through campus to deliver a petition to the University principal, Anton Muscatelli, communicating their objection to job cuts. Selected science faculties are under threat, with a loss of 80 jobs proposed.
