Just curious, here. Have you any idea why this type of problem is given in your school studies? It's to teach you to think and reason! When a student cheats on these questions, as you are now, it only hurts themselves., therefore I don't think that anyone should be doing other peoples homework on here! I know I know, it makes you feel as if you are the most intelligent person on the face of the earth to be able to answer questions like this one, but you really need to let this person do it for themselves, otherwise they will be nothing but a cheat and a liar all their lives!

I think it'd be something like- x*9.06 + (x+3)*7.13 < 119.47 for a) you would get x*9.06 for b) you would get x+3 for c) you would get (x+3)*7.13 for d) you would get what I've written above You can do e
a.) 119.47-9.06(x) b.)x+3 c.)118.53-9.06(x) d.)s<119.47 (assume s=sum of cost) e.)119<119.47 Basically he bought 9CD's and 6 DVD's equaling the total cost of 118.53 or 9(7.13)+6(9.06)=118.53<119.47 hope this helps.
