Okay. I am going to try and make this as easy understanding as I can. Camisado... the word means, "An attack at night". We will look at each verse and I will try to analyze each meaning. The I.V. and your hospital bed This was no accident This was a therapeutic chain of events - This introduces the text on what the case was. It was not an accident, ...etc. Because this actual song was written about his father's unsuccessful battle with alcoholism. Being an alcoholic is not an accident... it is just you. This is the scent of dead skin on a linoleum floor This is the scent of quarantine wings in a hospital It's not so pleasant And it's not so conventional It sure as hell ain't normal But we deal, we deal - Ryan describes the hospital as something horrid. A bad memory. "It's not so pleasant and it's not so conventional" I'd take it that the scent of dead skin... isn't so pleasant...etc. The fact that they are there for the father through his problems is not normal like most families he assumes they don't go through these things, "But we deal, we deal"... Kind of saying... regardless of how much I hated the hospital and stuff... we were there for you... we dealt the things we hated in life just for you. All the verses are repetitive of meaning. Basically describing the feelings of being there for his father regardless of how much the hospital gave him the creeps and his whole family could not stand it either. We will skip to different parts of the song that have slightly different messages in them. Can't take the kid from the fight Take the fight from the kid Sit back, relax Sit back, relapse again Can't take the kid from the fight take the fight from the kid Just sit back, just sit back I've got to say before I begin the chorus... the first two lines are one of the catchiest things I have ever sung. Can't take the kid from the fight... His father's sickness is hopeless he has no interest in bothering to get well, and he continues his bad way of life, with the alcohol. Take the fight from the kid... could portray "Hey we can help... but why aren't we bothering to take the fight from the kid". The fight is the battle/sickness his father had. The kid is obviously his father. I liked the way he used "kid" to describe his father. This shows that his father was "immature" like a kid. Sit back relax. Gives a different point of view. It could mean two things... either: A) Give up your pills and sit back and relax... Stop fighting it is useless or... B) Be steady on your life... relax you will get through with it. But the bigger point I think would be: A) Give up your pills and sit back and relax... Stop fighting it is useless Only because it says "Sit back, Relapse again". To relapse is to become back to an ill state after a small state of recovery has been made. "You're a regular decorated emergency" This could clearly state the obvious... relapsing all the time claims this. The last important bit... You've earned a place atop the ICU's hall of fame The camera caught you causing a commotion on the gurney again - Obviously... through his sickness had been so painful towards the family and difficult to handle within the hospital he "won" the top place in ICU'S hall of fame. ICU is the intensive care unit within a hospital. The people in there are fighting for their lives. - The camera caught you causing a commotion on the gurney again... the commotion was that he possibly had many "death" pronounces. A gurney is like another word for a hospital bed or a stretcher. I know this may not make sense. But it is probably the most detail you can get from it.

Maybe it's just one of those lyrics that just don't make sense? lol. I've seen this question a few times and now I'm starting to wonder.

i think that the cop was going to use the 'virgin' to blackmail the attorney, cos he was sleeping with tarts..and the purse is a metaphor for a money provider or holder..

Camisado is a surprise attack occurring at night, or at daybreak, when the enemy are supposed to be asleep

I'm not so much a fan, but my little sister loves them. I just read the lyrics and I think it's to do with Fight Club. It has a few references. So maybe about someone being hospitalized? Not sure though.

That's not a Panic! at the Disco song; it's called "Sally's Song" and was written by Danny Elfman for the movie. Could you maybe be confusing it with a different song? There may be a Panic! song that sounds similar, but I can't think of one.
