When you write does your work seem to go better when your mood is "odd"? Did I get my "groove" back?

When you write does your work seem to go better when your mood is "odd"? Did I get my "groove" back? Topic: How to write a song about losing someone

Question: Why Do I Care? Why do I care how you feel? Why should I care when others kill? Why would it even matter to me, If someone drowns out in the sea? A child is stolen from it's home Why should I care, I'm not alone? A policeman is shot doing his work, Why should I care that others just smirk? That grandmother to someone died today, But why should I care or have something to say? Why would I worry about someones mess? Why not say "I just could care less"? Not my place to care about them, Worry about their life and limb. Why should my heart feel all torn up, When I see someone mistreat a pup? That's only a dog. Who cares anyway? For he's not my dog, not for me to say. Why should I worry about things I see, They have not bearing on little ole me? But I do care for those who lose their life, It could have been be a friend, husband or wife. And I do care about what others feel, A broken heart or a bruised heal. I know that I need to do it all, To comfort and console, or give them a call. God tells me how to do these things To watch and listen and see what life brings. To lend an ear to an unhappy soul, To help someone gain control. To those who have much less than me, Let me share, God don't you see. I know I do the things I should The things God said that I could. Thank you Lord for being so kind, Thank you for putting this on my mind. I will do the acts you teach me each day. Thank you for giving the the words to say. Oops! on the verse Why should I worry about things I see, They have not bearing on little ole me? it should have been They have no bearing. Sorry

You moved me. I haven't been moved by anything in a while, not a poem, a song, a movie or a kind gesture, but you brought tears to my eyes and I thank you for sharing this w/ me.

I wonder why some answerer's don't give their sources. The source for the fist answerer's answer is given below. I'm teaching tone/mood in critical reading. Tone/mood is created by the author's style - his/her choice of words, his/her characters, settings and genre. It's closely related to the author's purpose. Tone/mood is meant to inspire an emotional response on the part of the reader and can range from burlesque to somber. For example, the tone of a mystery/detective story is usually "suspenseful", whereas the tone of a light, entertaining work might be humorous, One of the greatest masters of tone/mood in American writing was Edgar Allen Poe. Examine any of his stories and you'll see how his choice of vocabulary, his sentence length and his characters /settings all contribute to the tone/mood of suspense and finally of horror. "The Masque of the Red Death" is a fine example. The same is true of his poetry, and his use of repetition and alliteration are especially effective in his verse.

Extremely EXTREEEEEEEEEEMELY powerful poem! Not only caring is a good thing, but if things were to happen to us, we would want someone to reach out to us, right? You never lost your groove at all! However, I have because I'm suffering from creativity bloc! Go figure! Keep your ma and the Lord proud! :)

Yeah, try dialing (593-2-2xxx-xxx). Also you might want to search him in the phone book: http://www.andinatel.com/home.htm, then click on "Guia Telefonica" on the right side of the screen, under "consultas". Then a pop up window will open, in the combo, select the last option "Por nombre" and then enter in "Apellido", the last name and in "Nombre" the first name. Then click on "Buscar" The number will show 7 digits. To make a call, you dial 5932 and the seven digits. Good luck.

This is a bit confusing. It is like you have parts of two addresses. The Correa Central is the equivalent of General Delivery. The tf xxx-xxx COULD be a mailbox at the central post office, although the numbers don't sound correct for that. The other numbers look like part of a building designation for that Barrio (neighborhood) Normally it would say something like Hernando de la Cruz TF 251-164. Hernanco de la Cruz would be the street, TF would be the general zone, the first XXX numbers will be the specific block on the street, and the last XXX numbers will identify the specific building. So zone TF, Block 251, Building 164. Hope this helps. It is confusing, because Quito has changed its numbering several times in the last few decades, and many buildings have not taken down the old addresses. So some buildings will have three sets off numbers on them. What fun!
