I trained myslef to be little obsessive, so I get organization done, plus it helps to have nightmares and daymares about failing and UTTER HUMILIATION IN FRONT OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY! Also, I think that if I don't focus then, I'll have to do twice the work.

coffee is my savior. if i did not have it i would be walking around like a chicken with no head. it really helps me concentrate. tea is ok too. maybe it's worth a try.

Think of what will happen if you don't study. The only motivation you could do is yourself..If you want to be stagnant for life then don't study...Just remember EDUCATION is your key...Good luck!

There are classes we love... and classes that blow like a homeless man in need of his next hit of crack. Just keep the end goal in mind - getting that A. It may not seem all that important now. After all, with B and C becoming the norm, it's tempting to do "acceptable" work. However, an A says, "Yes, I understand this sh*t, bring it on!" Not only does the A show that you did well in class, but it also shows that you've worked to enrich yourself as a person. ASK QUESTIONS. This is the #1 thing that gets me through tough and boring classes. Professors love it when you display an interest and ask for clarification because it shows you're at least trying to grasp what it is they're teaching. Get them to stay after class to illustrate what it is they're talking about. They're PAID to do things like this, so don't feel bad! I've always found that incorporating things I learn from other classes really impresses teachers and they tend to give a higher grade for adding depth to papers and projects. Additionally, bringing in a subject that actually interests you will help you focus more and make your projects a little easier. For example, I'm a Fashion Design student and I dreaded taking psychology. I was able to pull in the design part for my final project - I created a presentation board of eco-friendly vs. non eco-friendly textiles, displaying how they're made and how they impact our society. Easy A. You can also find a study partner or see if your school offers a study hall where you can get help understanding various subjects. It's hard to work alone, especially when your friends or parents don't know anything about what you're learning.
