I agree about starting to look for internships. It's a good way to get real experience (for any field of work) that will be beneficial once you get to college and plus, it shows that you're eager to learn. When you get to highschool, definitely keep up with the newspaper. Being a good speaker/a good "personality" is one thing, but being that AND a good writer will open more doors for you. Does your high school offer TV production classes? I know my school had that and journalism classes, and many of the people interested in that field of work were anchors or reporters for our news channel (it broadcasted on our local channel). It depends on what your school offers, but anything that can give you practice and experience will help. Good for you for being so forward thinking about what you want to do in the future!

you work for the school newspaper so you are already ahead of a lot of people. college will give you all the knowledge and experience that you really need.

I would contact your local news station and talk to them. I know most of them offer internships and that has launched a lot of careers. Good luck!

Well, it sounds like you'd really enjoy becoming a travel photographer/writer or a nature photographer/writer. Writing and photography in general will give you the opportunity to explore a little bit of each of your interests
