I think it's great that you are ambitious. But writing is something that most of us do because we love to write, we love to create and tell stories. If most of your inspiration is just to make a "block buster movie" then you're not really delving into the heart and soul of the story or characters. Sit down and create some characters, figure out what they look like, who their families are, what their background is and what they're personalities are like. Once you do that, decide what sort of situations you would like to see them in and how they will react. I by far prefer a good, solid story with vivid characters, to a flashy movie with action and special effects.

The 20 and 21 year old discover they are not teens anymore. The youngest teen learns he is not a power ranger. The elder teens happen to be lesbians. A fishing boat accident did not go as planned. Superman did not save them. They all drown in a swimming pool of hot margarine.

How are you already writing this if you don't have a plot line yet? As for what kind of story it should be... well that depends greatly on what kind of genre and audience you're looking for. Also more than 50,000 scripts are submitted to the Writer's Guild every year... so good luck with that.

How about a G rated one for a change. They start in their own neighborhood having yard sales. helping old people, doing charity work, being role models. From there they each go on to bigger and better things fighting against immorality, crime, disease. After their careers are over, they come back to their old neighborhoods and reminice where they meet some teenagers and the whole process starts over again.

You could do, like, a colledge movie. It could be struggles with medical school, law school, or something like that. I really don't want to give you a plot because if you use my plot to make money, thats illegal. SORRY!

I agree with Empanda... If this is going to be a movie we deserve some money, right? Besides, use your creactivity! It is better than asking other people!

Instead of asking others ask yourself the "what if" questions. What if the teacher was on his way to national recognition due to his musical prowess and expertise? What if he was a song writer but this affair influences whether or not he makes it? What if he was thrown in prison, what would that be like? What if her mother had a son and put him up for adoption and she never met her brother but knew he was around 23 years old? (shivers..don't know why I thought of Oedipus) Just develop your characters, the differences in personality, childhoods, morals, etc..will cause conflict on its own. If you give them each a goal then you will know you need to fabricate an obstacle for each that stops them from reaching the goal. Etc. Just sit down and mull over it, I'm sure you can come up with something more interesting than any of us because you know what you're trying to say with this story, we dont.
