Topics to write about? Topic: How to write about yourself without using i
July 20, 2019 / By Avery
Question: I love to write. it is my ultimate passion, but for some odd reason i've been in a stump for the past couple of months. I mean, i can feel the urge in me. I can just feel the want in my fingers and my mind, but i just...i'm stuck. I don't know what to write about. And honestly, give me any topic. I don't care what it is. Its a writing practice. we used to do them all the time in class. but you know...its summer, so those practices aren't happening anymore. But they really got my brain turning, so i could use one of those right now. Just gimme an idea, and maybe some basic rules that i have to stay in. or not. if you don't want rules, don't give me rules. just gimme an idea. I just need to write. Please and thank you to all given recommendations, you have no idea how much you will be helping me out! (oh...i wasn't speaking absolute truth when i said i didn't care what the topic was: I don't do politics, too much....bleck) that's all though, anything else I'm pretty good with (: thank you.

You don't need a topic. Just sit down and start writing. Even if it's pure garbage, just make yourself write for two minutes without stopping. Then leave it for a day. Go back and look at what you've written. I guarantee there will be something in those pages that will jump-start a story. You just need to get your internal editor out of the way for a little while. Try it. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

When giving a speech, it really is best to present on a topic you are familiar with and one that you enjoy! What was the first topic that crossed your mind? It might not be a bad idea! If I had to give a speech, I would choose between my hobbies and passions. For example: cycling, animal care, dog training, homeless animals, travel to Washington DC, NY or Europe, how to choose a grad school, etc These are all things I have experience in, now just make a list for yourself and choose. Good Luck!

My advise is to talk about something that you like, that way, it's going to be easier for you to write and actually do the speech. Always talk about something interesting for everybody, not just for you, that way, you will have the attention of all the class(including the teacher). Don't choose a boring topic, it will be harder for you. Some ideas are: +Favorite breed of dogs/cats/w/e. +What do you think about a relevant time on history? +Who is your hero? +Favorite career? +Take an animal(it can be the one you like the most) and talk/write about it. +How would you like the world to be. +If you had the chance to go back in time, what would you change from your life. +The biggest mistake in your life. +The best day you ever had. +Favorite food. +Research about the fast-food industry, or something that's calling for your intelect to go to work. You can include time-lines, facts, and your point of view.

It's called 'writer's block', but you probably knew that. My own way of dealing with it is by having a good moan....in print. I can have a go at someone, or something that really gets up my nose....and it doesn't do any harm 'cos I tear it up afterwards. Er...unless I don't!

read some of the stuff you've already written. i think you just need to give yourself a pep talk. and seeing some of your older stuff and how good it is, might inspire you again. that's helped me in the past. and at the very least, makes me feel good about myself ha

my favorite topic is no topic. Just write freely what's the first thing that comes in your head. Wriers block? Pick a quote, response to it. Can't write, write a poem about your frustration about unable to write anything [addition - just in case if you cannot think of any] list to write: 1. a list of your favorite movies, films, etc, why do you like them? 2. what your favorite season of the year? 3. your childhood memories 4. what do you think of your cousins? or brothers sisters? 5. favorite food. My favorite ice cream flavor... my favorite restaurant... 6. your dream 7. what do you want to be in 10 years? 8. the country that you want to travel to (10 places that I definitely want to go before I die..... lol - just like 101 places to go before you die) 9. your spending this month, what do u think about it? 10. the item of the month. What's your favorite thing this month? can be your laptop, ipod, blackberry, etc really, can be anything because my writer's journals consist of variety of things
