woot. go IB... but um... i suggest you do someone or something you've already been studying in english, then go way deeper into it for the EE... for isntance im doing Keats poetry at the moment, and we've spent about 3 weeks on it so far, but we've only just brushed the surface of it... pick a person that you can go really deeply into... or ask your english teacher to help you decide :)

It's a real monster of a topic, the sort of thing that could easily stretch into a book - it would actually have to be a book to cover it thoroughly. But basically talk about English literature at various points in history and show how that literature reflects English society at the time. For instance Beowulf itself reflects the society that came out of the collapse of the Roman Empire, a culture of warring tribes and violence. The great masterpiece of medieval English literature, the Canterbury Tales, is a strongly Catholic work, a story of a group of pilgrims traveling to the shrine of a famous saint. Writers from at least Shakespeare up to O'Brian today in the Aubrey-Maturin series have found themes drawn from the long history of conflicts between England and France. Dickens writes about the hardships of the poor in Oliver Twist and many other stories. Dickens in Hard Times, as well as Eliot in The Mill on the Floss, and many other writers, drew on themes related to the Industrial Revolution. The importance of seafaring to the British economy is reflected in nautical stories by writers like Conrad and R. L. Stevenson. Kipling, Wilkie Collins, and Orwell all wrote in various ways about the British Empire. Etc.

Find out what time period Beowulf was written in and what that period was like and write about the elements of that culture that are found in beowulf and then choose a current british piece of literature and do the same then compare the two and write about their differences... and about how the culture affected the morals/values of each story

This got here approximately to me a pair of 365 days in the past yet for an completely diverse reason. I have been given a sparkling telephone, a iphone. and that i replaced into on it 24/7 and somewhat of interpreting 2-4 books a week i replaced into interpreting a million a month. i began out lower back as quickly as we study "the giver" at school and it have been given me interpreting even nevertheless i did no longer even like the e book that lots. My advice for you is which you're taking a ruin from Harry Potter and study something completely new and diverse. in basic terms %. a e book of the shelf from the library and study it. If that doesn't artwork do what I did. Take your television and don't watch it. Like ever. And while your out of your strategies with boredom do no longer study the two. Don' do something like that for a pair days and then your strategies would be refreshed. like the reset button. desire this facilitates.

No rhetorical questions. No using: I, me, you, we, it, happy, good, sure. You want to prove the quote correct by explaining it and taking it apart. Why is life beautiful? Why smile? Good Luck ^_^
