Question: Sarah Palin published out a book too before. And recently Cain promoted his new book at the Jay Leno show. Who's next? Bachmann? Santorum? Perry? lols Their just wasting our time right? Their not interested in the presidency, Just to promote a book. Has Ron Paul created a book too? lol

IF Bachmann wrote a book it would probably be one of the funniest things I've ever read. I wouldn't pay money for something like that but I might borrow a copy from the library just to see how whacked out that woman really is.

Don't fret, grasshopper. Cain will never get the nomination! If you like Ron Paul check out Gary Johnson. Ron Paul but better! Edit: @ W.C didn't he totally back peddle that last night and say the government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers?

That is one of the things that makes me leery of Cain. I do not support the so-called 'fair tax' at all. One of the most disturbing things about the proposal is that all of its supporters keep claiming that the federal government won't lose a dime in revenue. I want the government to have a lot less revenue, do a lot less spending and shut down a lot of unconstitutional government bureaucracy. And I don't care whether it is Cain's version or Ron Paul's version, the fair tax just isn't for me. I much prefer a combination of a flat tax of 10% (for everyone, a balanced budget amendment for the federal government, and the implementation of 'zero-based budgeting'. That means that each and every year, you start with 0, take the revenues to the treasury and decide how you are going to spend them. When you are out of revenue, you stop spending, period... That is called prioritizing. Along with that you would need to repeal the 16th amendment. That is one thing that makes me prefer Michelle Bachmann over Cain as the real Conservative candidate to support.

Cain supported the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) bank bailouts as a way to save the economy, viewing it as an investment opportunity for the taxpayers. In a 2008 editorial, Cain wrote, "Owning a part of the major banks in America is not a bad thing. We could make a profit while solving a problem." In May 2011, regarding his TARP support, Cain said "I don’t have any regrets . . . I studied the situation. I didn’t have trouble with the idea; I had trouble with its implementation, picking winners and losers." -- Wikipedia

Because Republicans are all in a race to the bottom with trying to claim that we should lower taxes, and for members of the extreme right a claim that taxes could possibly be "too low" is practically the equivalent of claiming that you enjoy sex with other men.
