Question: Write an equation for this problem. the equation must be in standard form with integers for A, B, and C. slope = -1, through (4,3) ## Best Answers: How do you solve this algebra problem? Regan | 9 days ago
Use point-slope form and simplify to get slope intercept form: (y-3) = (-1)(x-4) (y-3) = -x + 4 y = -x + 7 Change that to stardard form: x + y - 7 = 0 (ax + by + c = 0) Hope it helps! :]

start with slope intercept form of the equation, in general, y = mx + b Substitute (4,3) for (x,y) and -1 for m. Leaving b, which you can solve for. 3 = -1(4) + b 3 = -4 + b b = 7 Now write the equation using m and b. y = -1(x) + 7. Add x to both sides and get x + y = 7 Michelle

Put it into point slope which is y-y1=m(x-x1) y-3= -1(x-4) y-3= -1x+4 y= -1x+1------------ Slope intercept 1x+y=1-----Standard You must start with point slope because for slope intercept it must be intercepts. Thats why the others are wrong.

1miles / 8 minutes ( which is the speed of the person) * 1 minute = 1/8 this is how far you run in 1 minute 1 miles / 8 minutes (speed) * 11 minutes = 11/8
