I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.”
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name.
I Corinthians 1:10-15
This one should be easy. I am sure you have "cliques" in your school - special groups that think they are better than others, or see thing more clearly than others. Paul makes it clear that this isn't being spiritual at all, but being unspiritual.
He continues talking along these lines in chapter 3.

Paul is telling the church to not lose focus of who they follow, Jesus Christ. Several of the churches at the time started to venerate the leader who established the church in the area where they were founded (e.g. Paul, Apollos, Cephas), rather than Christ.
I love how Paul sarcastically says, "Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?" This certainly made the church realize how dumb they were following their leaders before Christ, haha.

That's simple. Read it all the same but replace "follower of Paul" with Catholic, Apollos with Lutheran, and Peter with Baptist. Pretty relevant. I'd say more relevant than then perhaps!

It doesn't. That stuff is just outdated hippie sheat. None of that stuff applies to anything we have in the modern world. But if you have to just mumble something about the duality of man or something deep like that.

It wants people to deal in Absolutes,
that there is no other option.
There are always options,
regardless of what the Bible says,
and what you are forced to do
by your parents, all because
you want to make them proud.
