Question: say you have an idea for a business but you dont have enough money for a lawyer and account to comply with the liberal regulations and tax laws you can have a job. Say you cant afford to pay into the liberal ponzi scheme of social security you cant have a job. Say you cant afford to pay for obama care for your employee you can't have a job. Liberals put a gun in the room between you and a job.

You exaggerate grossly. If you can't afford to start your own business, you are still free to get a job working for someone else. That's the reality for most Americans. Take me, for example. I would love to start my own animation studio. I even have an outline for a business plan set up, beginning with hiring graduates from the local art school and making commercials for local business and progressing to developing series for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block of programming. I don't have the money to start an animation studio, and no bank will loan me the money to start one. Therefore, I work as a pharmacy technician to pay my bills instead. I'm sorry if you feel liberals are stopping you from having what you feel entitled to, but in the real world, people have to work hard for the things they want.

First, you don't just join as an officer. Since you aren't going to the AF Academy, you really have two options, ROTC or OTS (or enlisting and then hoping to get selected for OTS). I recommend ROTC. OTS selections are very competitive and can be hit and miss depending on how short ROTC and USAFA come up short of the AF's needs in any given year. There is really no way to know how many people they will take in 4-6 years and what degrees will be in demand (but technical ones usually fair best). The test you would need to take is the AFOQT (taken in ROTC or as part of the application process to OTS). The AF recruiting site (www.airforce.com) has some info on officer career fields, although the site is more geared towards people wanting to enlist. AFROTC also has a site (www.afrotc.com). There are a variety of career fields available. Flying jobs are the most selective and you need to meet the medical requirements to get a slot. Some jobs (medical professions, engineers and scientists especially) require specialized degrees. The rest don't have a requirement for a specific degree, although it can be helpful in some to have a degree related to that job.

"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." Ronald Reagan The Liberal ideology is a theory which holds forth beliefs that have no basis in reality. They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong government to enslave its people with a high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the working class. The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy @

Because those with the money on top lobby to strangle any new competition. I blame American plutocracy, not liberals. Libs vs cons is a scheme by the plutocrats to divide and conquer. The more we blame each other, the more the true rapists get away with it.

How about the massive corporations that helped put those regulations in place? Where is your condemnation of them? The same corporations that are routinely making record profits and STILL not hiring more workers? Have you nothing to say to them?

You know that big corporations usually lobby for and help draft many of those regulations, right? If they can afford to meet those regulations, but it is nearly impossible for new business to meet them, they've effectively limited their competition. Conservatives are equally guilty of this charge.

I have never been told that before. I was taught that it was best to always use the written text where one exists, whether you have memorized it or not, because it does prevent error. That goes for any text, religious or not. Based on the previous answers to your question, the real question is, why do people feel compelled to answer questions that clearly aren't directed at them? Yahoo Answers isn't a forum to share ignorance, it's a forum to share *answers*, i.e. knowledge.
