Question: I own a very small LLC ( 5 employees). All are part time right now, although I plan on hiring at least one full time in the near future. They have expressed interest in employee benefits. I myself do not have health insurance and would like to include myself in a group plan. I have no idea how to start and cannot hire an HR person at this time. How do I find the right person to help me? I don't even know the proper search terms to research on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You probably do not need a pro. It could even be counterproductive. Call around to the local insurance agents and see which ones want to come talk to you. It is just like buying anything else for a small business. You do not need a full "benefits plan", you need one specific item (usually group health is what people want). After you meet with a few, you figure out what is available and how much you can contribute, then see if your employees will pay their share. Everyone wants "benefits" when someone else pays. But IMHO you should NOT delegate this, excpet maybe to one of your employeees.
