You can convert the percentage to a decimal fraction and multiply it by the original number. 5% is the same as saying 0.05. 30 x 0.05 gives you your answer of 1.5. Another way of doing it is to find 1% or the original number and then multiply by 5 30/100 = 0.3 0.3 x 5 =1.5 Another way of expressing it would be to multiply the original number by the percentage required and then divide the answer by 100. 30x5/100 = 1.5

Your friends can help but don't really rely on them that much help because it can backfire on you. But I had the same problem as you and what I did was (it sounds lame but it worked) I had my binder in my arms with papers purposely out of the rings and when it was just me and him in the hall way I "dropped" them he came over and helped me pick them up and that was our first "encounter". And later that day I seen him again I said thanks for helping me and every since them we have been in a "hi and bye" relationship that's starting to turn into a " what's up and can you help me with my homework relationship" lol do something not obvious but original . hope I helped.

you dont have to go up to him to say hi or anything spontaineously direct. Just casually say hi to him one day when you pass each other either on the bus or in the hallway or whatever. try to make eye contact so he hears you and either smile, nod your head, or say hey. then keep walking it will get him thinking about you after and will probably be the one to make the next move.

5% can be rewritten as 0.05, so all you have to do is multiply 30 by 0.05, and you'll get 1.5 5% off would is different be subtracting 1.5 from 30 to get 28.5. Just keep in mind that it's always easier to convert the percent into a decimal.

It is 1.5,,, since a percentage is equal to hundred, you divide 5 over hundred and you multiply the answer you get by 30 to obtain the 5% of 30.
