Government cannot afford to have this case heard by the Supreme Court without guarantees from the court that they will ignore the constitution.
The Supreme Court has ducked this issue for over 70 years while law after law got added to the heap using the National Firearms Act of 1934 as a precedent.
If the Supreme Court rules in favor of citizens and against infringement, the whole house of cards will tumble down and the federal police state will be jeopardized!
I believe the Supreme Court will refuse to hear the case and return it to the appellate courts.

Sad, indeed. Amazing. Basically, they gave license for Republican-led states to freely engage in voter suppression. And they’re jumping all over it, too.
Today’s right-wing is taking us back 60 years. Jaw-dropping.
Well, given that the right to bear arms is specifically guaranteed in the Constitution, one would hope that they uphold the lower court ruling.

I'm wondering myself much like the not yelling fire in a theater. The court has placed limits on the constitution even when such limits are clearly prohibited.

We're looking at a 5-4 vote-the only question now is whether or not Kennedy has the guts to do what is right in a well educated, supposedly civil society.

Originally Answered: How will the Supreme Court rule on cases involving same sex marriage?
I have not heard or read any rational arguments against same-sex relationships. When you consider that there are no laws preventing two, three or thirty people of any gender mix having sexual relations...even all together and at the same time, it becomes absurd to have a formal law prohibiting something as innocuous as two people of the same gender getting married. Family Values are what individuals make them to be...and considering the greater-than-50% divorce rate they don't seem to be that much. The bible is not a legal document and citing it as "authority" is nonsense. Same-sex marriage does not threaten anyone. Having said all that people will continue to believe what they want to believe and the Justices on the Supreme Court have demonstrated the ability to ignore reality as easily as any other group of 9 people.
