Let *us* go down and there confuse their language that they may not listen to one another’s language.” Isa 6:8 And I began to hear the voice of Jehovah saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for *us*?” And I proceeded to say: “Here I am! Send me.” Why does it state us and our? who is Us and who is our Genesis 19:24 24 Then Jehovah made it rain sulphur and fire from Jehovah, from the heavens, upon Sod´om and upon Go·mor´rah. does this sound like it is saying Jehovah can be in different forms at the same time? 56 Abraham YOUR father rejoiced greatly in the prospect of seeing my day, and he saw it and rejoiced.” 57 Therefore the Jews said to him: “You are not yet fifty years old, and still you have seen Abraham?” 58 Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, Before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” 59 Therefore they picked up stones to hurl [them] at him; but Jesus hid and went out of the temple. what do you think of this statement? Isaiah 6:1 In the year that King Uz·zi´ah died I, however, got to see Jehovah, sitting on a throne lofty and lifted up, and his skirts were filling the temple. 2 Seraphs were standing above him. Each one had six wings. With two he kept his face covered, and with two he kept his feet covered, and with two he would fly about. 3 And this one called to that one and said: “Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of armies. The fullness of all the earth is his glory.” 4 And the pivots of the thresholds began to quiver at the voice of the one calling, and the house itself gradually filled with smoke. Isaiah 45:23-24 23 By my own self I have sworn—out of my own mouth in righteousness the word has gone forth, so that it will not return—that to me every knee will bend down, every tongue will swear, 24 saying, ‘Surely in Jehovah there are full righteousness and strength. Mark 2:5-12 5 And when Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic: “Child, your sins are forgiven.” 6 Now there were some of the scribes there, sitting and reasoning in their hearts: 7 “Why is this man talking in this manner? He is blaspheming. Who can forgive sins except one, God?” 8 But Jesus, having discerned immediately by his spirit that they were reasoning that way in themselves, said to them: “Why are YOU reasoning these things in YOUR hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and pick up your cot and walk’? 10 But in order for YOU men to know that the Son of man has authority to forgive sins upon the earth,”—he said to the paralytic: 11 “I say to you, Get up, pick up your cot, and go to your home.” 12 At that he did get up, and immediately picked up his cot and walked out in front of them all, so that they were all simply carried away, and they glorified God, saying: “We never saw the like of it.” and this one? John 1:11 1 In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in [the] beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. Are you stating that there is more than one Gods? Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8 10 “YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior. 6 “This is what Jehovah has said, the King of Israel and the Repurchaser of him, Jehovah of armies, ‘I am the first and I am the last, and besides me there is no God. doesn't this state there is only ONE God? meaning there is no other Gods including lesser Gods saying us or our means they had to be in his image, now he did not say let my angels and myself make GOD in his image. we were made in GODs Image and God is Three sperate persons and have a mind GOD the SON GOD The HOLY SPIRIT and the FATHER GOD they are not 3 Gods but one god and 3 persons that are Split. God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. Each has a will, can speak, can love, etc., and these are demonstrations of personhood. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God. (See also, "Another Look at the Trinity") Jesus, the Son, is one person with two natures: Divine and Human. This is called the Hypostatic Union. The Holy Spirit is also divine in nature and is self aware, the third person of the Trinity. There is, though, an apparent separation of some functions among the members of the Godhead. For example, the Father chooses who will be saved (Eph. 1:4); the Son redeems them (Eph. 1:7); and the Holy Spirit seals them, (Eph. 1:13). Time is past, present, and future. But, there are not three times, only one. http://www.carm.org/christianity/christian-doctrine/trinity http://www.bible.ca/trinity/trinity-texts-john17-3.htm http://www.montney.com/inspire/trinity.htm Isaiah 43:11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no Saviour.” this states that Jehovah is the only Saviour of the world yet in the new testament it referrers to jesus as the Saviour of the world Titus 2:13 while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of [the] Savior of us, Christ Jesus, now if you reject jesus as GOD the son (not GOD THE father) you reject him as saviour of the world mat 1:22 All this actually came about for that to be fulfilled which was spoken by Jehovah through his prophet, saying: 23 “Look! The virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and they will call his name Im·man´u·el,” which means, when translated, “With Us Is God.” why did many will (did) state Jesus as GOD (IM NOT STATING GOD THE FATHER) but GOD 6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If YOU men had known me, YOU would have known my Father also; from this moment on YOU know him and have seen him.” 8 Philip said to him: “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him: “Have I been with YOU men so long a time, and yet, Philip, you have not come to know me? He that has seen me has seen the Father [also]. How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Scripture: Genesis 1:26 Almighty Jehovah was speaking to someone when He was creating man. Comparing spiritual revealment we find that Jehovah was speaking to the prehuman Jesus, who acted as God’s agent in the creation of the world of mankind. “The world was made through him.” (John 1:10, World English Bible translation) The Greek word for "through" in John 1:3,10 indicates one being used as an agent, and is so acknowledged by most Greek scholars. Scripture: Genesis 3:22 "Here the man has become like...one of us...in knowing good and bad" If man became like "one" of the supposed trinity by disobeying, then which one of the trinity members did he become like so as to know good and evil? Did one of the trinity also disobey? Such an application would imply that only one of the members of the trinity had knowledge of good and evil by sin, and that Adam had become like that one. Yet who did Adam become like in disobedience? We need to remember that at least one of the angelic host had at this time already rebelled against God, and made himself Satan the Devil. In Isaiah 14:12-15, under the type as the King of Babylon, we have an account of how Satan did meditate a usurpation of Jehovah's honor and power, saying in his heart; "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.... I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." Thus there was one of the heavenly host who knew both good and evil by experience through his rebellion against Jehovah. Thus we conclude that it is this one that is the "one of us" referred to in Genesis 3:22, who Adam became like in disobedience, knowing both good and evil by experience.

Toal Originally Answered: What are some scriptures that disprove/contradict the Jehovah's Witness teachings?
Mostly, it's the Bible that contradicts the belief of the Jehovah's Witnesses. The whole thing, that is. That's true for a couple of reasons. First, throughout scripture, God reserves certain things for himself, calls himself certain things, declares his character to be a certain way. Then along comes Jesus, and he reserves for himself those same things, calls himself those same things, and describes himself the same way. God said his glory wouldn't be shared; Jesus claimed that God would glorify him. God said that we were to worship no one else; Jesus accepted worship. God said that he alone would judge sin; Jesus said that he would judge sin. God called himself the shepherd; Jesus called himself the good shepherd. You get the idea. The Jehovah's Witness doctrine that Jesus Christ was a creation of God and was not God falls apart in this light; Jesus clearly believed he was indeed God, based upon what he said and did. Secondly, the Jehovah's Witnesses have their own unique translation of the Bible, where they've changed words to support their own unique doctrine. Most of the changes are very minor, but they have significant effects on the text. No other Bible translation has these same changes. Other Bible translators are known, so that their credentials can be checked; the translators of the New World Translation are anonymous. Regardless, the facts of Jesus' character from the first point are still intact in the mistranslated Bible the Jehovah's Witnesses use. That is, Jesus' diety comes through, even when they try to deny it. For those that declare Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian denomination, they most certainly are not. Witnesses claim that they are THE Christian denomination, and everyone else is an apostate. By the definition of "cult," the Witnesses are in fact an offshoot of Christianity with a changed central doctrine, and are thus considered a cult of Christianity, and not a Christian religion. --- Important Update: I see you've received in your answers one that references a survey by BeDuhn. Jehovah's Witnesses LOVE to reference this report; it is the only one of its kind. (There are many other such comparisons that do not reach the same conclusion of BeDuhn.) BeDuhn DID INDEED say that word rendition in the NWT was extremely accurate. What Jehovah's Witnesses like to omit is that BeDuhn also took issue with many replacements of references to God (Father, Lord, God, etc.) with the Jehovah's Witnesses name for God, Jehovah. This is, no matter how you look at it, an inaccurate rendering of the scripture, and it's less than honest of the Witnesses to consistently omit this fact. So - to make the point clearer - there is one key finding that says the NWT is accurate, but many other experts of textual criticism disagree. For the one man that does find it to be accurate, he takes issue with the translation on other counts. The Witnesses tout this one finding, and ignore both his criticisms and the criticisms of other experts. Am I the only one who finds that to be dubious? My2Cents addresses my answer directly, below, and specifically says that Jesus did not accept worship. In fact, this is simply incorrect. On numerous occasions throughout scripture, Christ receives worship; not once does he forbid anyone from worshipping him. See Matt 8:2, Matt 9:18, Matt 14:33, Matt 15:25, Matt 28:9, Matt 28:17, John 20:28 ... do we need more?

I'm going to be brief. I think they're basic answers. Jehovah, before he created mankind already had created the angels along with his son, who he his master worker. I'm sure you know the scripture. In his image, would mean that people would have the qualities of Jehovah and the rest of his heavenly creations. When he created Adam , of course all of his heavenly angels were watching. with the relationship he had with his son, it would be like a father talking too his son.If I was building a house with and for my family. I would say to my son. Let us build a house for our family. Very simple to understand. I really don't see your point. 2) Jesus does have Godlike qualities, as when he was on earth, he healed people , stopped the wind(showed he had power over the elements) resurrected the dead. These are godlike qualities not human, even though he was in A human body.3) yes, it does state their is only one god. Jehovah is the creator of all things. That's why we worship Him.That's why jesus said "I am going to your god and my god" Also remember satan was called a god...why because he has godlike qualities. He can do things man can't. Things that only spirit creatures can do. I hope these answered your questions. I could have used many scriptures, but, I felt it was relatively pretty basic and easy to understand.

I love Jehovah's Witnesses, however as you'll inform there are lots of who don't. Here's an enjoy a pal simply despatched me the previous day of a person who hated Jehovah's Witnesses, however had a hazard of center: "A sister despatched this to me in these days. She stated the customary was once in Spanish and has been translated to English. It talks approximately a tender 22 year ancient pioneer brother that was once out in provider. He went to a door and the householder confirmed infection at his presence. The guy advised him to attend and he got here again armed and shot the brother. The brother died there. During his trial, the person stated that he hated Jehovah's Witnesses and had warned that he might kill the primary character to knock on his door. The guy was once observed responsible and was once sentenced to jail. Years later he was once published and went again to reside within the identical residence. The brothers within the congregation have been warned and have shyed away from preaching at that residence. But there was once a brother that favored to talk over with that residence once more. He was once informed towards it, however he insisted and was once given permission to talk over with the residence. The brother figured that point spent in jail had modified the person. So he went to the murderers house. The guy was once very amazed to peer him and requested him if he knew that he had killed a witness earlier than. The brother stated he did realize and this amazed the person. He was once curious to grasp the form of guy competent of knocking on his door so he invited the brother in and a Bible research was once began. The months handed and the reality grew to be transparent to the person.. He got here to grasp a God competent of forgiving even probably the most severe sins. His non secular development was once obtrusive, however on the invitation of attending the Kingdom Hall, the person declined. He stated he could not pass to the Hall if the mothers and fathers of the younger brother he had killed weren't capable to forgive him additionally. The brother advised him, 'It's now not essential. Jehovah has forgiven you. He does not hold account of what you probably did earlier than you knew the reality.' Even so, the person was once reluctant to be given the invitation to the Hall.. He insisted in desiring the forgiveness from the daddy of the younger brother he had killed. Otherwise he might now not pass to the Hall. The brother requested him, 'Do you relatively want that? Do you relatively want the daddy of the younger guy to forgive you?' The brother requested. When the person advised him he did, the brother stated to him, 'Consider your self forgiven for the reason that I am the daddy of that younger guy you killed.' Today, each are serving within the identical congregation and yearn for the day whilst Jehovah will convey again to lifestyles that younger guy within the resurrection. The discourse concluded in a while after this, displaying the significance of actual forgiveness. Certainly that have touched the hearts of all that heard it. It's problematic, however now not unimaginable, the artwork of forgiveness."

Andre said Jesus was first man but I remember some one Named Adam way before Jesus so I don't believe we were formed in Jesus image. But I believe these people that try to force there beliefs on others are stealing away peoples lives to believe for themselves. Like the Europeans that came and converted many Native Americans and also Killed them off in the Name of Jesus . By doing that stole there own way of believing and life style was lost for ever.

I am just trying to understand how the name Jehovah got into Genesis? God did not reveal his name until Exodus 6: 2-9. Up until this time he was known as El, Elohim and El-shaddai. God Bless!

The Book The Divine Plan of the Ages was written 5 YEARS AFTER HE DISCOVERED THE 1914 from the Bible. He thought the Pyramid was the one talked about in Isaiah 19:19-20, and he thought the prophecy was linked the to the 1914 date... But they found out the Pyramid was of Pagan sources in 1928, and rejected that... In view of this STRONG BIBLE EVIDENCE concerning the Times of the Gentiles, we consider it an established truth that the final end of the kingdoms of this world, and the full establishment of the Kingdom of God, will be accomplished at the end of A.D. 1914 from the year 606 B.C. and have found that it reached down to October, 1914, as nearly as we are able to reckon……Many of us concluded that as far as we could see, October of this year [1914] would show……we are not a prophet; we merely believe that we have come to the place where the Gentile Times have ended" =====Miracle Wheat===== What perverseness moves a minister of Christ, a minister of truth, to slander a brother minister or anybody else? Why tell what he does not know to be the truth? I have no knowledge of the Union Bank of Brooklyn. I heard that it failed through the dishonesty of its officials. I never was inside its doors; never was financially nor otherwise connected with it; nor do I know who were its directors. "Miracle Wheat" is a new variety of wheat discovered and so named by a farmer at Fincastle, Va. I copied an item about it from a newspaper in my religious journal, which carries no advertisements. Three years later one of the readers wrote me that he had bought some of the miracle wheat at $1.25 per pound and found it very prolific--up to 3,000 grains from one seed. He sold some of it and donated to the society of which I am the president. The following year he and another donated 18 bushels, fixed the price at $1 per pound and asked that it be mentioned in my journal and that we bear the trouble of mailing it. I merely gave their reports and a copy of a report by United States government expert. The wheat was sold and in all $1,800 was thus donated by these two friends to the work done last year amongst the heathen. No one ever complained of the wheat, and all were offered "money back" if not satisfied. If anybody has a microscope that will show anything wrong with this, we would like to have a look through it. We presume the wrong was that it was not "raffled at 10 cents per grain," or grab-bagged for at a church fair! =======Did Russell lie under oath?======= "As respects my education in Greek and Hebrew: Not only do I not claim very special knowledge of either language, but I claim that not one minister in a thousand is either a Hebrew or a Greek scholar. To be able to spell out a few Greek words is of no earthly value. Nor is it necessary longer to study these languages, in order to have knowledge of the Bible. Our Presbyterian friends have gotten out at great cost Young's Analytical Hebrew, Chaldaic, Greek and English Lexicon Concordance, which anyone may procure. And our Methodist friends have issued a similar work— Strong's Analytical Concordance and Lexicon. And there is a still older one entitled Englishman's Hebrew, Chaldaic, Greek and English Lexicon and Concordance. Additionally, Liddell and Scott's Greek Lexicon is a standard authority. —1914; "Zion's Watch Tower", 15 September 1914, pg. 286 =======Mean to this wife?======== "I never defrauded my wife nor anybody else. My wife and I mutually agreed that the property I earned and owned should be devoted to the Lord's service. I carried out my part of the agreement and made a deed, which my wife did not sign. Subsequently the property was sold for debts which my wife had contracted unknown to me. Her dower interest was sold for her debt at public sale. The property being mortgaged, brought all that anybody probably would have paid. "The girl who sat on my knee and who kissed me was an adopted child in short dresses. Her brother had died, and she was in grief; besides, my wife had publicly requested her to kiss me every night before retiring, as her foster-father. If there be any crime in this, let the stones fly, but tell the truth. "My wife never charged me with unfaithfulness; nor had she any ground for so doing. She stated under oath that she made no such claim, and also under oath stated that she and I had lived celibate lives for eighteen years. "It is quite untrue that I was silent to my wife for months. The reverse was true—that my wife was silent to me except in the presence of others. She thus and in every way sought to coerce me into giving her more liberty in the columns of the journal I edited and published, The Watch Tower—because she had adopted suffragette sentiments. She was not granted a divorce. There were no grounds for it. She got a legal separation nine years after she had left me... "I ask, what must we think of a Christian minister who, because he has no Scripture to back up his side of the argument, would resort to such misrepresentations of facts in an attempt to murder the reputation of his opponent? All sane people must feel sorry that a Christian minister would take such a course." —Special "Bible Students Monthly," 1912 "Mrs. Russell on the witness stand and through her attorney attempted to give the impression that her husband was very amorously inclined, "like a jelly-fish floating around," "embracing all who would respond." ... When the next day the husband took the witness stand and swore that he had never used the language (and never had heard of it before) all reasonable people concluded that only an idiotic person would make such an uncomplimentary remark about himself. "Mrs. Russell charged an improper intimacy between her husband and "Rose," who became a member of the Russell household in 1888. The attempt of Mrs. Russell and her attorney to give the inference of criminal intimacy was so manifest that the Court interrupted to inquire, if criminal intimacy were charged, why it had not been made part of the plea and why "Rose" had not been made co-respondent in the suit? Then both Mrs. Russell and her attorney disclaimed any charge of criminal intimacy, but meant that "Rose" had sat on Mr. Russell's knee and he had kissed her. "Mr. Russell declared that it was quite a while after his discontinuance of his proper fatherly conduct toward "Rose" that Mrs. Russell (having become alienated on account of not getting all the liberty she desired in the WATCH TOWER columns) upbraided him for kissing "Rose."" —1906, "Zion's Watch Tower" 15 July 1906
