Originally Answered: From a scale of 1-10: What would you rate last night's WWE Monday Night RAW?
I was planning to do a match review for RAW but I guess I'll do it here.
(This by the way was the first RAW I watched in months)
WWE Champion Randy Orton called out John Cena; RAW main event set: (2.5 out of 5 stars)
Well, good mic skills by Orton. I'm starting to think hes more over than Cena is. Cena did average, the same thing he does every week. Nexus, no excitement from them in this particular situation. I did get excited for the main event, however. Although I see no point for the Anonymous GM on the MacBook I don't really mind hearing the messages unless the messages are sent every 5 seconds like it was on previous RAW's. The main event, Orton w/ his pick of a partner vs Barrett w/ his pick of a partner and Cena as ref. Did anyone else know that Sean Morley, aka Val Venis resigned with the WWE? I was hoping he would be Ortons partner, only reason why I got excited. Oh well.
WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater def. The Hart Dynasty: (2.5 out of 5 stars)
Eh. Nice to see Gabriel & Slater are improving. One thing I liked was the way they are slowly turning The Hart Dynasty against each other. David Hart Smith and Kidd will be future World Champions, no doubt about it. But aside from that, average match. Deserves a 2.0 but, the good chemistry in the ring for these tag teams boost up the rating a bit.
A side note, I was going to rate the backstage conferences between R-Truth, Cena and R-Truth, Orton. I did not because I felt that R-Truth was trying to turn Orton against Cena, via Truth turning heel or acting heelish, building up to a heel run but sadly that was not the case. I'll rate it anyways. These 2 segments (1.0 out of 5 stars) (Would've been higher if R-Truth was turning heel)
Sheamus def. Vladimir Kozlov: (1.5 out of 5 stars)
I think WWE was trying to hide the fact that this was a squash with the Santino-Sheamus argument before it so I raised it to 1.5 instead of just 1.0.
The Miz confronted Raw guest star Pee-wee Herman; “Big Pee-wee Herman” def. The Miz by Disqualification: (3.5 out of 5 stars)
I thought Pee-wee was better than he was built up to be. Although the jokes were corny, they found a way to play the crowd on and the adults were actually. Yes, actually laughing. I did not like however the Miz vs Big Show match. I would've preferred Alex Riley & The Miz vs. Big Show & Pee Wee Herman. This was originally supposed to get 4.0 out of 5 but it dropped 0.5 because of the match and its outcome. Miz loses by DQ? Miz should've won this and hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Pee Wee because this definitely would've gotten Miz more heat.
United States Champion Daniel Bryan def. Ted DiBiase: (3.0 out of 5 stars)
Didn't get to see the whole match. This was a pretty solid match. Watched the ending moments on WWE.com. Maryse made it better. Way better. Two rising stars face in the ring? Great, 3.0 stars out of 5 stars for this one.
Natalya def. Self-professed “Co-Divas Champion” Michelle McCool in a Non-Title Match: (2.0 out of 5 stars)
Typical divas match by the WWE. No reason to put why now.
Ezekiel Jackson def. Zack Ryder: (0.5 out of 5 stars)
Zack Ryder is an ultra charismatic superstar of the 21st century. Did he really have to job to Big Zeke? However, Big Zeke looked better than ever. He was WAYYYY over for the crowd. He worked the crowd in the ring longer than it took him to beat Ryder. It was a squash. Deserves nothing more than 0.5, no matter how good Jackson was.
Mr. McMahon awoke from a coma in a dream (3.0 out of 5 stars)
I felt generous. If only Stephanie was naked.
WWE Champion Randy Orton & R-Truth def. Wade Barrett & David Otunga: (3.0 out of 5 stars)
I would like to say solid match. But then I would be lying. It was a little bit above average but didn't deserve higher because of some blown spots.
Overall: 2.0, a little bit under average RAW event. 4 out of 10 on a scale
BQ1: Disagree. His wrestling ability is behind many people, by miles, even more.
BQ2: Just Close Your Eyes by Waterproof Blonde & Story of the Year + I always liked Steve Austin's Invasion theme song back in 2001, oh and also all of Edge's themes
