Question: I have a recorded phone conversation with the broker in which it illustrate my say if required please to provide me with an e-mail. On June 2005 one of ABN Amro Bank gentlemen came to my office in Dubai proudly explaining about their new Regular Saving Plan “Royal Skandia”. As he said it is a flexible plan, only 10 monthly premium payments are a must, and after that I am free to continue the plan with the regular monthly payment or to withdraw 50% of the deposits plus the 7% interest profit, or to discontinue the plan and withdraw the money plus the 7% interest profit by sending a signed letter one month prior to the final payment. The deal was for the minimum period which is 10 months because I was planning to leave the country. After the ninth month I sent my letter to the bank mentioning that I want to discontinue the plan. The reply was that the minimum period is ONE YEAR not before that. This was my first shock but I said to myself no problem two additional months it is no

Return to the original contract of Royal Skandia as signed for the small print terms and conditions that binds the customer to bank. Convention is of one year or six months tenure but where geographical contract terms provide discounts, ensure the atypical ten months are adhered to. The one year application applies if ample notification were provided by the service representative. The failure of which may be disputed in the request of notification and the right to a new contract with the bank, requiring a new set of signatures. Present recommendations would be to write to the bank before personal visitation to clarify the position on the contract. Where a breach occurs, forfeiture of a quantum of interest on deposit will likely come into play. The value of capital sum assured may likely be un-guaranteed as well. The principal deposit is returnable to the depositor. It is frequent that Banks do hard sell at the expense of customers and do not always disclose all manners in full. Although the buyer today is largely protected by implied exceptions, such as the seller knowing the purpose of buyer's purchase of the said, the doctrine of Caveat Emptor has to be vigilantly and vigorously applied regardless the circumstances and geographical location.

I worked in check fraud for several years. 1. CLOSE THE CHECKING ACCOUNT: First, ask the bank if you can close the account, they will want to keep it open - but the bank will return all the checks to all the companies your perpetrator wrote them to. All those companies will send you a bill for the bounced checks and put blocks on your checking account with the big check approval companies, like SCAN or CHEXSYSTEMS etc. So if you keep the same checking account, you'll be turned down everywhere in town. Banks just don't like to open and close accounts it's a lot of paperwork for them. 2: REPORT THE ROBBERY/THEFT: Go online to your local police departments web site and fill out the form to report the robbery or theft of your checkbook, include what series of check numbers were taken 1150-1175, whatever it was. If SEARS calls you tomorrow and is placing a courtesy call to you because you're writing a check and you have no I.D, and they're just calling the phone number on the check to be sure - they cannot attempt to arrest your perpetrator if you have not reported the robbery. (Yes they could detain this person, but most retail companies don't put the neck on the line, unless you have your police case number - because too many times relatives decide not to press charges, etc when they find out who the perp was.) Typically all the store will do, is try to scare the perp off while they keep the check. 3: BANK/AFFIDAVID OF FORGERY Go to your banking institution and fill out an affidavid of forgery. This is a legal document saying that those checks have a forged signature on them, which is not yours. This document protects YOU from companies who will later want payment for the bad checks passed at their stores. Make several copies of it, you will need to mail these out when the bills come in from Target or Walmart etc. 4. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE: If you give your bank the police case number and signed affidavid of forgery it should be less than 48 hours to get the money back into your account. But if you just call and report it, without any supporting documentation - there is no time limit on how long they can process your investigation. Some banks are great, and give it to you the minute you report it, some banks will delay you 2 weeks. 5. CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORT Watch your credit report for bills that show up, that may have been from one of the checks that your bank will return unpaid. Some companies will report you with unpaid bill instead of sending you something in the mail. Send them your affidavid of forgery and police case number.

Only the bank can tell you how long their investigation will take, assuming even they can. As long as they believe the withdraw was unauthorized, they MUST credit your account. They SHOULD have given you a provisional credit ON THE SPOT when you filed the report.

I should have known Zaphod73 would be on here, see the source and call you a liar. This guy leans so far Left that pictures of him are always profiles. I would like to know how the aforementioned moron would like to explain the reporters have to have accurate information and verifiable sources before the run a story. Had the story not been absolutely factual, I can assure you that Obama-tard would have had that reporter and the Wall Street Journal strung up by the balls.

Sebastian Originally Answered: How do I get the bank to return these fees?
I called the bank and they claim that it is just fine for them to put a post-dated check through whenever they want. WTF? I know you don't want to hear this. But once you write a check, it CAN BE CASHED AT ANY TIME. Postdating doesn't mean zip, and is actually illegal.

go to your branch where your account it, talk to a manager there not sure if they can help you. Tell Your landlord what happened and ask her why she cashed it when you post dated it? Tell her to Please not to cash it next time till the date on it or you will give it to her when you actually have the money-she sounds like an air head. call the bank I hope they help you & sorry I was not more help
