The display is very clear and the colors are very sharp, I thought it would seem small but it is just right. It is very light weight and I can use this anywhere like in the house or take it to school or work. The only drawback is the cd/dvd not being in it but I use my ipod so I get my music from there and I dont plan to watch any movies on this. If you need this for work school or travel this is perfect. I couldnt have asked for a better more convenient and reliable laptop :) The price is amazing, you cant get any better than this, I am very impressed, hope you buy this laptop, you won't regret it. I'm an IT professional with 25+ years of experience and I'm very impressed. I purchased one of these for my wife, a hard-working professional who has little tolerance for technology problems. She has been very happy with her new Aspire One. The LED-lit screen is obviously smaller than bigger laptops, but it is clear and bright. The keyboard takes a little time to get used to because the k

I have the white one. It sucks if you play games, but will undertake any normal tasking like browsing the web and opening notepads. Games will kill this laptop. I would recommend this to anyone who only uses this for business purposes as they are mobile (VERY MOBILE) and have a fairly large Hard Drive compared to my Desktop! (160GB) But for those who game, look elsewhere, this is not for you.

I personally love this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... because it has lots of room, nice cooling, room for extra fans and I just think its a great case. love it, panels are really easy to slide in and out. enver had any problems with it, nice hard drive bay, even for SSD's and all the wires can actually be organized and what not.... love the case! <3

properly it did no longer fit because of the fact it relatively is possibly like a proprietary case for that particular laptop. while finding for a case word that some motherboards mounts the choice way than maximum circumstances, i understand HP does this plenty, undecided approximately Gateway. What length is the motherboard? (mATX, ATX, prolonged), besides the reality that maximum circumstances help a majority of those. For mid tower circumstances i in my opinion like the Corsair 400r sequence, Cooler grasp HAF 912 are all good. Your possibly purely finding a mid tower at this ingredient, however the 400r is an relatively good decision, that became my mid tower case for a on an identical time as.

I recently built a beast of machine. I went with Antec three hundred. You can hook up 5 fans. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

It is fine if all you plan to do with it is email and browse the web. It wont handle gaming or anything.

Current reputable brands of Motherboards I trust: Tyan - pretty dated but they still make solid products. ASUS - frst choice for motherboards, so so on other products. ECS- for economy motherboards, they are pretty reliable. I avoid Gigabyte after a prolonged ordeal with one of their latest flagship motherboards. Intel CPUs are the current king of the hill. Bang for buck price point is the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor today. Tomorrow subject to change. The E8400 out performs many of the Quad core processors made by Intel and all of the AMD processors currently available. Your DVD should be fine for quite a while. You would see a significant increase in drive performance with SATAII or SATAIII drives. Most motherboards will still support your IDE drives. I would recommend something like this: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor (3Ghz X 2 cores) Asus P5Q-E Motherboard 2 Gigabytes XMS2 DDR2 800Mhz C4 Corsair XMS2 Memory (Two 1G modules) 500G Western Digital SATA II Hard Drive ATi 4870 512M DDR5 PCI-Express video card Lite On 20X SATA DVD burner CoolerMaster 690 Case with Corsair 750W PSU Windows XP Pro That's my economical gamers' build. It's very reliable and a rock solid performer without any frill. You should be able to spend less than $1000 on parts if you shop well. If you need to cut corners more, ASUS P5N-E SLi motherboard is a less expensive choice. Use existing drives shaves a bit. An 8800GT Evga Video card would save some more.

well depending on how much your buget is it probably is not worth the money to downgrade your pc purchase to be backwards compatible a new motherboard thats worth its weight in spit will not have any ide/pata sockets or limited to 1 which means if you want to use both hard drive and burner it will be slow theres the option of ide to sata converters but why as your motherboard will be gaging on the transfer speeds... go quad core for the better price and future ready get as much memory as your unit will support no less then 2 GIG i bought a brand new 1 TERAbyte drive for $120 cnd buy Nvidea 8800 minimum and 512 megs ram minimum look for at least 2 X16 slots but try for 3 or 4 buy a Soundblaster PCI EX1 soundcard get a good cooler like a Zalman this package will range from $550 to 12,000 depending on specifics
