Question: I'm having foot surgery on the 26th of October so Halloween will be 5 days after my surgery. My idea is to just stay home and watch horror movies. Does anyone know of some really good ones and if so what are they about? My parents don't want me to see Saw if that helps any. I really want to see the Grudge if that helps too

Hope ya heal well. Try: John Carpenter's The Thing: Something strange is going on at the Out Post 31 in Antarctica. It seems paranoia among men as an unknown alien species is hiding in the warmest place. Man. But who's who? This movie has amazing special effects and a good story. You will be on the edge of your seat until the end credits roll. You will not know what this species will look like when it shows it's self because every part is a whole. Watch the trailer at you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouZkkIsLiNg John Carpenter's Halloween: I don't think I need to explain what it's about and if you haven't seen it check it out as well as Halloween II. Exorcist The Version You Never Seen: Again I don't need to explain it. I like the the director's cut better. Exorcist 3: A very underrated sequel. Just as good as the original. Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho: If you haven't seen it then by all means check it out. Psycho II: It's 22 years later and Norman Bates has been released. It seems either Norman is going crazy again or someone is framing him. Very good sequel. Psycho III: It's a few months later and Norman Bates is back to normal, but Mother is off her rocker again and has come between him and a woman he has fallen for who has something she is hiding in her past as well. Psycho IV: The Beginning: You met Norman now meet his Mother. All 4 are worth checking out. Season Of The Witch aka Halloween III: This has nothing to do with Michael Myers because he died in Halloween II. The idea was every year to release a new horror film that takes place on Halloween but fans wanted Myers. Some people like the flick others not so much. Three popular masks have hit stores and on Halloween all the kids are told to watch this TV ad on Halloween with there masks on for a special surprise but the man behind the masks has a evil plan come Halloween. Night Of The Living Dead 90's remake: Written by Romeo and directed by Tom Savini. This is the version Romeo prefers. But the original is excellent too. Creepshow: Written by: Stephen King and Directed by: George Romeo. 5 horror tales that will tingle your spine. Alien: I'll let the tag line speak for it's self. In space no one can hear you scream. Candy Man: A tale of love and murder. Wes Craven's The Serpent and The Rainbow: A creepy tale of voodoo based off true events. The Blair Witch Project: Some people love this movie and others hate it which also applies with the sequel. A group of film makers decides to film a documentary on the Blair witch but things don't go as planned and things go terribly wrong. Book Of Shadows: Blair Witch II: A group of people go on the Blair witch tour and can't remember the events of the night. But try to as the **** starts to hit the fan. The Evil Dead: A group of friends go on a trip to a cabin in the woods and they find a strange book, dagger and tape player in the cellar. They decide to see what's on the tape and mistakenly play a reading of the book that causes the evil to be released and start turning them into demons one by one. The only way to stop those possessed by the spirits of the book is through the act of bodily dismemberment. How old are you? Saw wasn't that bad.... Avoid any film by Uwe Boll. If you want some funny movies with horror elements then check out: Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark: http://www.horrordvds.com/modules.php?name=Reviews&file=viewarticle&id=51 Elvira's Haunted Hills: Funny spoof of the gothic horror films of the 60's and 70's mainly Vincent Price, Roger Corman. Ghoulies 2: http://www.x-entertainment.com/messages/612.html Evil Dead II and Army Of Darkness: These two films are goofier. Evil Dead II is horror/comedy while Army Of Darkness is Action/Comedy. Killer Klowns From Outer Space: You should check it out by the title alone. try http://www.horrordvds.com and the reviews at http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com Hope ya get spooked.

Halloween Poltergeist (I'd be suprised if you didn't see Ring or Grudge by now. Don't worry, I didn't just list off any horror. I made sure they're each good. WARNING: Avoid seeing: The Wicker Man, Messengers, When a Stranger Calls, Boogeyman, Pulse, Grudge 2, The Fog and House of Haunted Hill) Yeah, the first Grudge is good. The second one is awful though
