Topic: It use case samples
July 17, 2019 / By Bryana Question:
Hi, I am a 23 year old virgin (girl) who just the other day started to get a burning sensation on the inner lips of my vagina and there were a couple of red bumps down there as well. At first I just thought it was a yeast infection, I have had those before and after a day this felt way worse than any previous yeast infection I've had before. Anyways, as soon as I felt like something was wrong I immediately went to see my OBGYN...he told me that it could be just a serious case of a yeast infection or potentially HERPES! After my doctors appointment the symptoms seem to be getting worse...now I have a lot more red bumps all throughout my inner lips all the way down to my buttocks, there is white discharge constantly flowing out of me, it burns so badly when I pee that I cry hysterically every time I go (I have tried to not eat or drink anything for 2 days just so I won't have to use the toilet), and it burns so bad to the point were its extremely hard to walk, even to sit down. When I was at the doctors he took some samples for testing and I'm getting blood work done tomorrow. I am so scared and nervous about what this could be, I just want it to subside as quickly as possible. I want to be able to pee in peace!
I've been with my current boyfriend for 4.5 years and this is the first physical relationship for the both of us. I have never cheated and I know for a fact he has never cheated on me.
Please only serious answers. I'm really concerned.

You either have thrush or bacterial vaginosis.
Caused by imbalance of the vaginal environment predisposing to infection.
You can get anti-fungal cream specific to thrush from the chemist, usually contains ketoconazole or something similar.
You can also get a pill from your doctor containing a higher concentration of the same thing. I would recommend this in your case as it sounds particularly severe.
Bacterial vaginosis is treatmed with an anti-biotic prescribed by your doctor.
The red bumps could be from allergy to the infective agent or could be folliculitis.
Either way, they will clear up with resolution of the infection.
You do not have an std or herpes.
