New secretary: How to write a FAREWELL message to a leaving employee? Topic: How to write about new year

Question: I am a new secretary, and I've been asked to write a farewell message/party invitation for a leaving staffer. I have some background information on him, and I know it should be brief. Could someone help? He's worked in our department for two years. He's making a lateral move----same position---but another office. I don't know much about him.

Dear 'Dave', You have been such a valuable employee and coworker to everyone here. Your dedication, spirit (and creativity?/perhaps you can ask the office staff about some person qualities about him) will be sorely missed. We all wish you great success and contentment in your new position. Thankfully you will still be a part of 'this company', and hopefully you won't be a stranger :)

You can't force someone to work who doesn't want to, so rejecting a resignation does nothing to solve your problem. If this person falsified legal documents, criminal law can help to punish this person if it is applicable; if it is not, then basically it will just take time to fix what this employee did to harm the business.

Falsifying legal documents is a felony, this person should be facing criminal charges and consider themselves extremely lucky if they aren't. And a supervisor cannot force anyone to work, whether they accept the resignation or not the person can quit without being formally fired, just don't show up.

The guy can quit anytime he wants to, but if this involves falsifying legal documents, he can still be brought up on charges! The company can't KEEP him there against his will though, no matter what he has done. If they can prove all this, he can run but he can't hide from the Law!

Well, you need to give more info, like how long he has been there and what he did and how important to get the best message possible.

Wallace Originally Answered: Why does my phone automatically predict the next word im going to write in a text message?
The future is called T9. T9, which stands for Text on 9 keys, is a patented[1] predictive text technology for mobile phones. T9 is used on phones from LG, Samsung Electronics, Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Sanyo, Sagem and others. T9's objective is to make it easier to type text messages. It allows words to be entered by a single keypress for each letter, as opposed to the multi-tap approach used in the older generation of mobile phones in which several letters are associated with each key, and selecting one letter often requires multiple keypresses. It combines the groups of letters on each phone key with a fast-access dictionary of words. It looks up in the dictionary all words corresponding to the sequence of keypresses and orders them by frequency of use. As it gains familiarity with the words and phrases the user commonly uses, it speeds up the process by offering the most frequently used words first and then lets the user access other choices with one or more presses of a predefined Next key. Try going to your setting panel and taking it off. I don't have this phone myself so I wouldn't be able to tell you how to shut if off...all phones may be different. If not, directly from your texting screen you can change the setting. = )
