I personally did not have high standards of that match, Vince is not a wrestler and the WWE had Bret Hart by the balls if I can say that. I think that the whole idea of having a Bret Hart vs Vince match at Mania really lost all of it's perks beforehand being that there have been matches at Wrestlemania exactly like Hart vs McMahon. One if you remember was Hogan vs McMahon at WM 19, that match's slogan was 20 years in the making and in actuality it was only 19, that was the headliner even though it was not the main event. The match was so-so, it filled out the card. I'm surprised that the WWE didn't have an Austin vs McMahon match at Mania.
LIke I wrote earlier, they had Bret Hart by the balls. If Bret Hart was to come out of retirement for just one match then one of the last things that I would want him to do would be wrestle Vince. F' that, I want to see Bret comeback and wrestle Chris Jericho in a Submission match or have a match with Edge, Triple H, Christian and I would love to see him take on John Cena, now that would be epic.
My final view on Hart vs McMahon is that the match was a failure. If old fans got to see Bret Hart just beat the crap out of McMahon using his old moves and the newer fans got to see how great The Hitman was then I would be happy but it was a waste of time. The worst Mania match of all time has to be King Kong Bundy vs SD Jones at WM I in my opinion because the match was like 7 seconds.
