Question: My five year old brings home at least two homework assignments every day. Is this normal for kindergarten these days? I never remember getting homework until at least fifth grade when I was a kid.

Homework in kindergarten should take about twenty minutes each night. However, it does seem strange that even kindergartners do homework these days. I blame the No Child Left Behind Act (even if I end up being wrong)! Then again, I do remember having t quickly answer addition problem (i.e. 3+4) with flash cards at home towards the end of kindergarten. :P

I'm in Year 10, I'm 15 years old. We're supposed to get homework in most of our lessons, mainly English, Maths and Science. I study Art and Design, Psychology Spanish and Religious, and I only get homework every few weeks. At my school, when we've got exams, other subjects aren't supposed to give us homework because we're supposed to revise. This is only what happens in my school, I'm not sure about anywhere else, I suppose all schools are different. Hope this helps :)

We dont have high schools here. Secondary schools are from Year 7 to Year 13. You give your GCSE exams in Year 11 and Year 12 AS Level and Year 13 A2 Level. I suppose you could do some more research.

We don't have high schools in England. Apparently you didn't do _that_ much research :( What age are you talking about? A 17 year old will get far more homework than a 14 year old.

Sounds like too much homework to me. I don't even think I started getting homework till I was about 7 and that was less than once a week.

Yes, it is. Lots of students in Europe work while studying. However, you need to know that generally, studies in Europe are much less expensive than in the United States (for example in France, a very good school is about 6 000 euros a year, but universities are almost free), so it is easier for european to study without working.

Many components of Canada show comparable ranges of atheism as Europe. i could besides the indisputable fact that posit that particular cultures and religions being so close makes human beings comprehend that faith and custom pass hand in hand. an prolonged time of loose questioning is likewise a reason.
