Would this administration ever think of jailing it's own people if they choose not to buy health care?
Topic: How to write a to and from letterhead

Good God, this is unbelievable, somebody needs to stop these freaks, now! ( and for those who compare it to auto insurance...no one forces you to buy a car)
Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.
Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."
corndog: You say that everyone should carry their weight, but your entire post is how I should gladly accept that I have to pay others' health care bills...?

If they fail to pay the fines, then yes probably.
FACT - Insurance companies in the USA admit to pushing up prices, buying politicians and not paying out claims when they should
FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet
FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare
FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage
FACT - Obama was elected by the American people to bring in change
FACT - Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing the American people
FACT - The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and in Switzerland
If anyone can prove the facts above are wrong, e-mail me and let me know.

I am not sure what the problem is with Americans and this health care project. Obama has stated that whoever has current health insurance can keep it. I am a small business owner who cannot afford health insurance and cannot pay $600 a month for it through the available insurance companies. I see many people benefit from Medicaid but they have no jobs (or say they have no jobs) and they get excellent care - so why can I not get some form of health insurance from the government. Who cares what you think? There are many who do not h eave health insurance due to greed and the fact that the people who pay for health insurance abuse of the insurance company going to doctors for things such as the common cold that bring the rates of everyone up. We as Americans should have the option to either buy our insurance or get it somewhere and somehow. The only ones complaining seem to be the ones who CAN afford health insurance or just hate Obama in general and find things constantly to ***** about. I'm so tired of people and their whining over this topic. Older people depend on Medicaid and appreciate it...i know because I do taxes for the elderly and they really appreciate it so why won't you idiots do so as well?
In many states, you are fined and can be jailed if you don't have auto insurance. How is this any different? And please - yes, no one forces you to buy a car, but in a HUGE majority of the country, you have to have one. You know that.
Your taxes are currently going towards footing the hospital bills of mainly people who are too cheap to buy it and willing to take a gamble by not having insurance. How does that make you feel?
Everyone should carry their weight. Deal with it and stop the whining. Or moving is always another option.
Asker: Where did I say you should gladly accept to pay others' bills? I'm saying quite the opposite.
And Mr. Bigshot Joshua: I'd like to see you try to pay cash if you collapse of a heart attack and suddenly need a triple bypass. Guess who will be paying for your arrogant a-ss' surgery? Me, along with other taxpayers.

the answer is NO - look for the loop holes in all their policies - it will be there. I would not be surprised to see it plainly written..it could be as plain as this (ha ha- but they would like this) ..If you are affiliated with the Republican party you are fined or imprisoned if you do not purchase from our car companies, our health insurance, become a member of the Union at work (don't worry only those that claim to be Republicans have to work!) purchase our news papers, pay your taxes (Democrats don't have to pay) etc....BUT if you are affiliated with the Democratic party or a Liberal none of the above applies to you.

I don't f-ing want health insurance. Making me get it, you fascist, is wrong. And don't you dare bring up how I would be a drain on the system. Food stamps, welfare, medicaid, medicare, THOSE are drains on the system. I pay cash when I go see a doctor. It is wrong for you to tell me how to run my life. This is a disgrace.
