I need to unlink my business email from my personal email without deleting my personal email? Topic: business planning processes

Question: My company set up a business email for me, which got linked to my personal account. Now I want to unlink the emails and delete the business email and create a new Yahoo ID, but the only way it will let me delete that email is by deleting all the emails attached to my personal Yahoo ID. Is there anyway to avoid this?

Hi, Vicki. Your business email account will need to be deleted, then recreated and attached to a new Yahoo! ID of your choosing. Only the Yahoo! Small Business plan owner or an email administrator can delete and create email accounts--please contact one of them to get the process started. You can change how your Name appears on your Outgoing email by Adjusting the ►"FROM" field. Here's how to do it: 1. Click "Options" in the right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page - Click "Mail/More Options". 2. From the list on the Left, click "Accounts". 3. Click "Yahoo! Mail" under *Accounts 4. In the your ►"FROM"' name" field, enter your Name Exactly as you'd like it to Appear in your Outgoing messages/mail. 5. If you leave the "Reply-To" field Blank, your Yahoo! Mail address will be automatically included as the return address in your outgoing messages. If you'd like a different return address to be included, enter it in the Reply-To field 6. Click "Save Changes" to put your new settings into effect. You Have to write something in the "Name" field. If left blank, whatever was written there Before will be Restored and your changes Won't be Saved. 1. Click "Help▼" in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail Beta page and select "Options" 2. From the list on the left, click "Accounts" 3. Click "Yahoo! Mail Beta" under ♦Accounts 4. If you don't to lose any email, I am not sure which service provider you are using, but here is what I would do. Create a new account. When regular people contact you: Then on the old account, use an Out of Office type reply stating that your new email has changed to "whatever the new address is" and that you won't be checking the old account and you suggest they use the new one. Therefore any important emails will find there way to your new account and most likely be updated in their address book. For services and important sites (big companies) that use automated emailing processes. You are going to want to keep an eye on important emails coming through, then login to those websites and change your email address to the new one so you continue receiving your emails that are important to you. For all the rest of the email that we didn't cover above, you could most likely use an Auto Forwarder to send all email from the old account and forward it to the new account, however this may see seamless to you and when you go to reply to someone your account will look different from the original (old address) they sent to. If you do all three, after some time, it will be like it never happened.
