Gibson Street Gala 2011

It’s only a month away! Sunday 12th June – 12pm to 6pm

Gibson Street will be closed off for 6th time for an afternoon of live music, entertainment and street stalls. The GOW backcourt will again open its gates to the public to host a music stage and a refreshments tent. Visit the new Gibson Street Gala website for full information.

Change exhibition – Offshore

To whet our appetites for the forthcoming artfusion exhibits on Gibson Street Gala day, Marianne Voosloo has organised a taster event at Offshore Café.

The Change exhibition will open on the 4th of June and will end on the 20th. Unfurl your pretty wings and flit to Offshore for an artistic treat and a coffee.Visit artfusion’s Facebook page here

Artfusion

Artfusion is a new event, which is part of the Gibson Street Gala. Organised by Marianne Vosloo, a GOW resident, 2009 marked it’s gala debut.

With 45 artists representing 8 artistic disciplines, Westbank Quadrant assumed a most ‘rive gauche’ atmosphere for the day. If you’re interested in exhibiting next year, contact Marianne marianne298vosloo@googlemail.com

What a day we had this year ! The rain in the main stayed away, we had a bumper crowd and great acts and new attractions. Thank you to all who made this year’s Gala happen, from our sponsors, to our many volunteers and the West End festival.
